Jodie Fletcher is a former newspaper reporter who left her glitzy and glamorous life as city editor of a small-town daily to fulfill dreams of being a freelance journalist and young adult storyteller.
She lives near the shores of Lake Michigan with two fairly apathetic gray cats, an ornery Chihuahua and a darling German shepherd.
Jodie spends truly ridiculous amounts of time watching TV shows, reading books and talking about what she’s watching and reading. This she calls “research.”
As a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, she contributes to her local chapter by co-editing the Michigan SCBWI newsletter, The Mitten.
